ROCHESTER, NH — Granite State Express Care and Granite State Lab, the area’s newest retail medicine outlets, have signed leases for their flagship locations at 120 Washington Place in Rochester at Exit 13 off the Spaulding Turnpike. 120 Washington Place is a new mixed use retail office building in Rochester currently under construction and due to be ready for occupancy in February 2014, being built by Groen Builders of Rochester. The location appealed to Granite State Express Care and Lab because of its proximity and traffic on two main thoroughfares, at the intersection of routes 202 and Route 16, and convenience of parking and access for its customers. Staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants, Granite State Express Care will provide treatment for common family illnesses and injuries, administer vaccinations, and conduct physicals and wellness screenings. Patients will be seen on a walk-in basis and will receive services with a minimal wait. Examples of these services include: allergy symptoms, bronchitis/coughs; ear aches and infections; cold and flu-like symptoms; sinus infections; sore throat/strep throat; upper respiratory infections and urinary tract infections; minor rashes; sprains; sports physicals; suture removal and minor burns, wounds and abrasions.
Services at Granite State Express Care will be provided at fixed, posted prices. Granite State Lab will be a free-standing independent laboratory and is being established to provide lower-cost commercial lab services in a convenient, easily-accessed location. Fenton Groen, developer of the project and president of Groen Builders, said, “We have invested a lot of effort and resources into developing the 120 Washington Place project to be an attractive and profitable location for retail and professional clients.”
